--LHP Paul Maholm will try to get back on track when he starts Friday night against Colorado in the opener of a three-game home series. Maholm pitched a season-low five innings and gave up a season-high seven hits in a 10-1 loss to the Mets in New York on Saturday. He is 0-1 in his last four starts since beginning the season by winning his first three outings.
MEDICAL WATCH:
RHP Craig Hansen (neck spasms) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 20. He played catch May 3 for the first time since getting hurt, and he will throw off a mound May 15. There was no timetable for when he might start a rehab assignment.
C Ryan Doumit (broken bone in right wrist) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 20. He had surgery April 23, and he will be out eight to 10 weeks.
LHP Phil Dumatrait (arthroscopic right shoulder surgery in August 2008) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 27. He was pitching in extended spring training in mid-April.
