SAN DIEGO (AP) - The Pittsburgh Pirates placed reliever Craig Hansen on the 15-day disabled list Saturday and recalled right-hander Evan Meek from Triple-A Indianapolis before their game against the San Diego Padres.
Hansen has been bothered by neck spasms. He has no record and a 5.68 ERA in five games with the Pirates. The move is retroactive to Monday.Meek had no record and a 1.04 ERA in 8 2-3 innings of relief with Indianapolis.
